Remap stock ECU ???

Keep in mind that nobody (that I know of anyway) is able to chip a 2000 Civic Si (P2T) or 2000 ITR ECU (not sure of the code on this one). These ECU's are commonly referred to as OBDII+. I think www.jdmhondaparts.com can only rechip an OBDI ECU. The P72 and P28 plugs are interchangeable, so a P28 will plug right into a P72 (OBDI GS-R) equipped car and vice versa. Any OBDII (96+) car will require an adapter harness to install an OBDI ECU.

The P72 is generally the most desirable ECU since it is OBDI and you are able to keep your knock sensor. The P28 is the another commonly chipped ECU, but with a P28 you will lose your knock sensor. The P28 is, however, much easier to find and generally is substantially cheaper.

When I did my NA buildup, I chose to use a P28 and had Dan Ponze (www.godspeed-motorsports.com) do a custom program for Toda Spec A's.
